So I'm on a keen lookout for a Japanese malt here in Gurgaon, and will probably pick a bottle up the next time I'm passing by the Duty Free. For record, here are some of the expressions I have an eye out for:
Yamazaki 10 and 12 YOs - seem to be modelled on the Highland/Speyside varieties.
Yoichi 10 YO
Hakushu - Hakushu seems to have a number of different expressions based on sherry-maturation, peating etc. This is the Jap single malt I'm most keen to try, especially their Heavily Peated and Bourbon Barrel expressions.
Karuizawa - Don't really know much about this one, but if I don't find any other Jap malt at Duty Free and this is the only one available, I'll take it!
Anyone out there who has tried Japanese single malts, and has a view to share?
