"The only words that came to mind when enjoying this whisky were, a surprising little gem! On the nose, it has a very intense smoky, peaty and a slight spicy flavour filtering through – in fact I’d say it has a smell of smoked haddock. Down the hatch, its very smooth – oaky but yet very sweet, with hints of a medicinal nature and slight kick of sea salt coming through. The aftertaste is warm and silky. Again, as with all single malts – this is better enjoyed straight, on the rocks or with a very small amount of mineral water to allow the flavours to breath."
